A Message from the Chief Executive
Dear Applicant 
Thank you for your interest in this crucial post with Cafcass.
We provide critical services to children and young people, whose family cases come before the Family Courts. Each year, we work with around 80,000 children whose lives are disrupted or damaged at home, for one reason or another and who, as a result, need safeguarding, care and support.
We believe that children should be seen and heard so that their needs, wishes and feelings are clearly articulated in all Family Court cases and that we see their lives through their own eyes, as far as that is possible. We are committed to ensuring that the services we provide to every child and their family are the best we can and that every child receives a prompt and high quality service from us.
To help us achieve this and to continue our drive to improve our services, we are looking for a talented and highly motivated Head of Service, who is a skilled operational manager, with a proven track record of driving performance and leading service delivery within a relevant environment. In return, we will offer you the opportunity to play a critical role in a national organisation that is growing both in stature and influence. You will be responsible for ensuring that all children receive a good service from us without delays, waiting lists or poor practice and you will receive full support to reach this challenging target.
